Spring Break!

Spring Break means the beach so that's exactly what we did. We planned, packed up (and this is no small feat since Mallory does not travel light!), and hit the road. We asked Grandmama (my mom) to go with us and she said yes which was a major help. Mallory chose not to really nap on the way there so when we finally hit the beach I was a little nervous about what she would think. Good news- she made her Mama proud and loved it! I guess when 2 beach bums have a child they genetically produce another beach bum! She loved her toes in the sand and thought the water was refreshing and cool. She also enjoys long walks on the beach and to relax in the sun with a cold bottle! Here are some of the highlights:

The H's

This weekend was quite a treat. Grandmama, Grandaddy, Uncle Chris, Aunt Rachel and Harrison and Hewitt (also know as the two H's) came for a visit. Mallory thinks they are so fun to watch and the H's think she's pretty great too! We went to the playground, had a fun lunch at Chick-fil-A, did some pre-Easter egg hunts and had a great time. Come back any time!

As each day passes Mallory gets bigger and more independent. While this is nice in some instances (playing alone for a few minutes, holding her own bottle) it also means she can get into lots more! Thankfully if you need a minute to cook, clean, etc. smart moms came up with awesome inventions to contain your precious mover!

Half a Year Down

Mallory is 6 months old! I can't believe she's been here for half a year although I also can't really remember what I did before 6 months ago. It's amazing how much time we spend just watching Mal. Sometimes Brian and I will just look at each other and say "what did we used to do?"! Mallory is such a happy baby and we love getting her sweet smiles and warm cuddles. Here are her 6 month stats:

Weight- 18lbs, 3 oz (83%)
Height- 26.5 in. (72%)
Head- 18 in. (99%)- must be a BIG brain in there!

The sun has been shining and Mallory loves it outdoors. We were visting Atlanta this past weekend and enjoyed being able to hang outdoors. Now, bald and porcelain white does not make for an easy sunshine experince so thanks for the hat cousin H's!
