Mallory is on the move these days! She loves sitting and chilling in her walker and it sure gives Mama and Dada a nice respite to cook and eat dinner each night. Sometimes Mal inadvertently scoots around and it's fun to see just where she ends up. Just a warning- she only has her learner's permit so if you see her scooting, you best move out the way!

Do not leave baby unattended!
So after much delight in the fact that Mallory started rolling from her back to her front I quickly realized that I can no longer leave Mallory unattended. She is on the move and loves to flip over the moment you lay her down. This baby can roll herself all over the place and while it is super cute to watch it is somewhat inconvenient when Mama needs to run grab something. Here is our little mover in action:
And yes, that was a little toot mid-roll. Rolling does a lot of jostling on a little girl's tummy!

Road Trip!
This past weekend Mallory and I packed up the car and headed out on a road trip to Atlanta and then to Dalton. On the way to Atlanta I perfected the one arm driving/ one arm find and sticking a pacy in Mal's mouth maneuver! I only had to pull off the interstate once to find said pacy and have a heart to heart with Mal about the fact that I would be totally okay with her taking a snooze. She declined! We were both happy to pull into Chris and Rachel's house and even more excited to find Harrison and Hewitt still up. The next day Harrison, Mal and I loaded up again and headed to Dalton to visit Grandmama's school and celebrate Great Grandma Nell's birthday! Harrison was such a fun road trip companion and we had a blast seeing Mallory meet new family members. On the trip home Mallory decided to take my advice and slept all the way to Atlanta and then all the way home to Augusta. Overall I think our Mother-Daughter road trip was a success and we look forward to our next adventure!

4 Months Young
Mallory celebrated her 4 month birthday when we were in Dalton and Grandmama and I had a fun photo shoot! Our 4 month old doctor's appt. was actually more like a 4 and a half month old appt and here are her stats:
Weight- 15lbs 7oz (75th percentile)
Height- 26" (90th percentile)
Head Size-17.25" (97th percentile)
The other day at the grocery store a sweet lady came up to me and said in a slow and exaggerated voice "Cutest Baby Ever"! That was followed by "my babies had such big heads too". I laughed so hard! I love my big bald-headed baby!

Headgear
Mallory has finally gotten on the headband and bows train and her mama couldn't be happier. And by gotten on the train I mean, let's me put it on and doesn't immediately start wailing until I take it off. And since she's still rocking the bald look and inevitably someone will me how old "he" is, I have decided that her headbands and bows will be pink... large and pink! Headgear Fashion Montage:

1st day of pre pre pre school
So I have officially gone back to work and though I tried to teach Mallory to type and answer the phones she did not cooperate and said "I'm a baby and I want to go to pre pre pre school not work'! (I've told you before, I speak baby-ese) So, Monday through Thursday Mallory goes to Ms. Tammy's house to play and learn. She has adjusted quite nicely and since she is the only baby apparently the other little girls think she is like a real life baby doll and LOVE her! I should have documented the morning better but since I was navigating the world of getting myself, Mallory and the diaper bag ready I just got a getting ready and a heading out shot! Enjoy:

Toots and Giggles
Mallory has started giggling on occasion and it is pretty much Brian and my goal in life to find ways to make her laugh. A few different funny sounds have worked and a belly raspberry here or there but nothing has made her laugh as hard or as long as Dada's special toot noises. So now I have a inner conflict everyday between wanting to hear those sweet giggles and perpetuating my daughter's love of bathroom humor or trying all sorts of sounds and moves to make her laugh and failing miserably while looking pretty ridiculous. Oh, what's a mom to do?! And just for the record, in the video below, Mallory had been seriously laughing for like 2-3 minutes before I got my act together and started recording!
